Jungheinrich expects prospects for growth to be good in the next few years and intends to equip its production sites for this in good time. An autonomous centre of excellence for warehousing and system equipment is to be set up in the Degernpoint commercial and industrial estate near Moosburg. These trucks are currently being produced in the main plant in Moosburg, the manufacturing capacity of which cannot be expanded any further. Some 40 million euros have been earmarked for the project. In 2008, the company had purchased a property of about 60,000 square metres in the Degernpoint industrial area in order to implement its expansion plans. “By building this new plant, we are making another important investment in the future of our company, which will enable us to generate sustainable growth,” says Hans-Georg Frey, Chairman of the Board of Management of Jungheinrich AG.
