Advantage: keyless access
The parametered card provides you with all possibilities to control truck utilisation through nominating employees and thus to increase safety.
The card ensures that truck access is only permitted with an authorised card. Only trained employees have access to a certain truck type. Unauthorised persons are excluded. Utilisation time is freely selectable: it can be virtually continuous or – e.g. for the employment of contract workers – limited in time.
A valuable contribution towards the protection against theft is made by the truck being released with an authorised card. The card is briefly held in front of the access module. The module reads the authorisation and the operator keeps the card. An “inserted key” no longer exists. This is a great advantage, especially with unobserved trucks. The truck is released via contactless transponder card technology.
The card is contamination and weather resistant.
Advantage: LC display
The luminous LC display is very easy to operate. Text displays ask for access authorisation and truck condition and inform about shocks. A special cold store version is also available.
Advantage: shock recording
Records of shocks or accidents facilitate analysis and the initiation of accident prevention measures. Apart from direction and power of force, time and card registered operator are also recorded.
Dependent on the truck, the situation’s effect after a possible shock/accident is already defined at the time of system installation – in addition to automatic saving of the shock data:
- automatic display on LCD
- automatic display and crawl speed
- automatic display and automatic truck stop
The truck is only put back into “normal” travel mode after release by an authorised person (e.g. fleet manager).
Advantage: data transfer
Data transfer in small quantities to the databank (e.g. operating times) is carried out via card. Here, data is read from the card by card reader. Larger data quantities (e.g. movement data for lifting, travelling and shocks) are transferred directly and comfortably from the truck via radio.
The great advantage over data reading via laptop: this is up to date data. A laptop is only used in emergencies – such as loss of card.
