Learning about the Children's University

Children’s University Hamburg

For many years, Jungheinrich has been working in conjunction with the Dr. Friedrich Jungheinrich Foundation to contribute to the support of young people in science and research. Since 2013, we have been supporting the Children’s University in Hamburg.

The Children’s University is a joint project between the University of Hamburg and the Claussen-Simon Foundation, children's magazine 'GEOlino', ETV KiJu (subsidiary of Eimsbütteler Turnverbandes e.V.), Hamburg-based company Euler Hermes Germany and Jungheinrich AG, all of whom are committed to encouraging children of primary and lower secondary school age to become more interested in science.

Since 2002, scientists at the University of Hamburg have answered a varied range of questions every year: Why do dolphins have a sixth sense? How long does a star live? How does the sand end up on the beach?
