| Jungheinrich complement their pedestrian pallet truck range |

| Jungheinrich now complement their pedestrian pallet truck range with the new electric pedestrian pallet truck type ERE 225 with foldable platform. These trucks available as series 1 or 2 with fixed or foldable platform make particularly economical throughput and transport operations available to the user. Apart from an increase in safety, the newly developed ergonomic platform concept and an electric tiller also ensure that the operator feels comfortable on the new truck. |

The ERE 225 achieves top speeds up to 12.5 km/h (with load up to 9.5 km/h) and transports loads of 2500 kg. The foldable stand-on platform facilitates flexible operation. Folded in, it reduces the space requirement so that the operator is able to manoeuvre in confined spaces without any problems. The workplace on the tiller-controlled truck was adapted to the requirements of the operator and potential applications. Generous space for the operator and the ability to steer the truck from both sides give him a comfortable sideways and frontal position. The high backrest with integrated handle provides additional protection. “We want the operator to feel good on our truck”, says Oliver Hiekel, Head of Product Management for tiller controlled trucks. “A generous inside with optimum safety is an important factor.” Added to a smoothly cushioned stand-on platform is the “ShockProtect“ sprung drive unit. This patented system completely protects the stand-on platform against all knocks. The result: It relieves the operator’s back and there is significantly less wear on the chassis and all technical components. Sprung and cushioned support wheels connected via ProTracLink coupling rocker make the new ERE 225 even safer in all travel situations and complement the well-tried Jungheinrich CurveControl. Dependent on the steering angle, the latter automatically reduces the truck’s speed on corners. Steering movements are safely and quickly relayed The new ERE 225 is fitted with electric tiller steering as standard. It ensures precise and effortless steering of the truck. CurveControl as well as progressive steering when the tiller has to be locked by only about 70° for a 90° corner facilitate safe travel ahead and on corners. Due to its compact shape (without tiller arm), tiller movements are safely and quickly relayed. The operating elements have a clear colour system and ergonomically arranged key buttons to assist intuitive operation. A height adjustable tiller is available as an option. The innovative operating concept not only allows fatigue-free and ergonomic operation over the entire shift, but also ensures safe travel ahead and in reverse. The symmetric arrangement of the operator workplace also facilitates comfortable handling for both right-handed and left-handed operators. Many depositing facilities and a special paper holder round off the cockpit of the new ERE 225. 3-phase AC technology as well as the control electronics SpeedControl ensure safe and above all energy saving travel characteristics of the new Jungheinrich pedestrian pallet truck. The speed stipulated on the travel switch is maintained in every travel situation and this also means on upward and downward gradients. In case of unintentional rolling on a ramp or incline, the ERE 225 brakes automatically. The regenerative braking on deceleration also feeds energy back into the battery. Long service life even in the hardest applications The service-friendly construction of the new truck ensures long-term reduction of operating costs. The one-piece motor cover without screws as well as the detachable side panels facilitate easy access to all components. High battery capacities up to 465 Ah and excellent energy efficiency produce long operating times for the ERE 225. “Twelve years experience with 3-phase AC technology are clearly measurable in the test results of this truck series“, says Hiekel.
