Advantages in detail
Jungheinrich radio data terminals were specially developed for heavy-duty use on fork lift trucks and in the warehouse. Numerous ports allow for simple integration into existing network and software environments. Installation is standardised for Jungheinrich trucks but is also possible on other truck types. The Jungheinrich WMTs offer a wide range of configuration options such as Bluetooth, RFID reader, various memory configurations and capacitive or resistive touchscreen. Further solutions are available for warehouse processes which do not involve trucks – e.g. handheld terminals with WLAN and integral barcode scanner or mobile workstations with radio data terminal, barcode scanner and label printer.
Radio data terminals receive transport orders from the warehouse management system (WMS) via the wireless network (WLAN) and clearly display the required information to the employees on the screen. Confirmations by employees, such as recorded barcodes or confirmations via the touchscreen, take place in real time, thereby ensuring a rapid response to changes in order priority at any time. Every work step can be promptly checked and corrected by the WMS – errors are avoided and quality increases.
Radio data terminals from Jungheinrich are optimised for logistical warehouse processes as well as providing the perfect link to other Jungheinrich solutions. The use of secure embedded operating systems with write protection, including a solution for backing up and recovering the installation, makes handling easier and facilitates rapid commissioning of the terminals.
