Programme outline
The curriculum of a graduate programme at Jungheinrich is highly customized. You start your graduate career with a kick-off event. Here you get in touch with many current and former graduates. In four individually designed training sessions on various topics, you can expand your soft skills or your knowledge about Jungheinrich.
Your assignments in the various Jungheinrich departments during the graduate programme can take place both in Germany and abroad. In the second half of the graduate programme, you will own a project from start to finish with your graduate class. You can then present this project to a large audience at Jungheinrich. Your graduate programme is culminates in a final event at the end of your graduate time.
Supporting roles
During the graduate programme, you will have a support network with different roles to guide you on your journey at Jungheinrich.
YourCareer Sponsor has recruited you as a trainee and is responsible for accompanying and advising you on your learning journey. Due to their position in management, they will be able to open doors for you when it comes to selecting assignments.
Your Mentor, who is usually a manager, too, is selected by the HR department. Due to the expertise they have gathered over many years at Jungheinrich, they can pass on the benefits of this experience to you. Mentors come in many shapes and sizes: role models, career coaches, mediators, advisors, catalysts and door openers for you.
Buddies are current or former trainees who welcome you as a "newbie," share their past experiences with you, and offer advice. Think of your buddies as your informal mentors.
JIG Class Network
With two start dates per year and a program duration of two years, there are always several active graduate classes at any given time. The exchange between the graduate classes is very important to us. To achieve this goal, you are assigned a buddy from a previous graduate class, among other things.
In addition, we regularly organize graduate events with both active and former trainees participating. This is a great networking opportunity and a way to share your experiences. Parallel training for all current classes helps you grow together even more.
