ETV 216i, EAE 212a and AME 18 impress the international expert jury
Hamburg – Jungheinrich is once again among the major winners at the Red Dot Design Award in the Product Design category. This year, three products by the material handling specialist have been honoured with the renowned design award. The electric reach truck ETV 216i, the autonomous mobile robot EAE 212a and the electric pedestrian pallet truck AME 18 are ranked among the best in their class. The awards recognise the high design quality, innovative strength and strong user focus of the award-winning solutions.
Triple award-winning design expertise across product segments
Once again, the approximately 40-member international jury of the Red Dot Design Award recognised products that convinced through outstanding design, functional quality and future viability. The ETV 216i stands out with its particularly compact design, which combines fully integrated lithium-ion technology with reduced truck dimensions, excellent all-round visibility and an ergonomically designed operator workstation. This enables efficient operations even in confined spaces.
With the mobile robot EAE 212a, the jury also honours a forward-looking automation concept. Its clear design language, compact footprint and intuitive human-machine interaction allow for flexible integration into existing warehouse environments. The EAE 212a is a user-oriented, scalable solution for automated material flow. Both the EAE 212a and the ETV 216i have already been honoured with the prestigious iF Design Award 2026.
The triple success is completed by the pedestrian pallet truck AME 18. Its robust yet highly user-friendly design, compact dimensions and efficient lithium-ion technology make it a versatile helper in retail, production as well as loading and unloading operations. The award confirms the successful interplay of functionality, safety and durable design.
“The triple win at the Red Dot Award 2026 is a special recognition of our design expertise across different product segments – from manually operated trucks to autonomous solutions,” says Till Muhl, Head of Industrial Design at Jungheinrich. “Our ambition is to combine functionality, sustainability and user focus in a clear and contemporary design. I want to thank all the teams whose passion and commitment made this success possible.”
The Red Dot Award is one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. Since 1955, it has recognised products that stand out for their excellent design quality. Each year, an international jury of independent experts from the fields of design, science, and journalism selects outstandingly designed products from among several thousand submissions.
