Legal information on the EU Data Act
Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (“EU Data Act”), which came into force on September 12, 2025, concerns the handling of data generated through the use of connected products and services in the European Union. Among other things, the EU Data Act aims to give users more control over such data, promote innovation, and ensure fair competition in the data market.
Jungheinrich offers its customers a wide range of connected products and services. Under the EU Data Act, users of such Jungheinrich products and services have the right, under certain conditions, to access relevant data and, if necessary, pass it on to third parties.
Further information regarding this data, including categories, types, and formats, can be found in the product- and service-specific information sheets in accordance with Art. 3 (2) and (3) of the EU Data Act, which Jungheinrich provides to affected customers prior to concluding relevant contracts and upon request.
Jungheinrich customers can send data requests in accordance with the EU Data Act to the following contact address: eu-data-act@jungheinrich.de. In the event of a data request, Jungheinrich will provide the customer concerned with the relevant data via an online file sharing platform that ensures secure data transmission, after checking their identity and verifying the products and services concerned. For this purpose, the customer will receive an access link by email, which can be used to access the data. If you have any questions about data access, please contact eu-data-act@jungheinrich.de.
In addition to enabling data access, Jungheinrich, as a manufacturer of networked products and connected services, is obliged under the EU Data Act to establish a legal basis with the users of these products and services for the use of data by Jungheinrich. In order to continue offering data-based products and services, Jungheinrich requires the consent of affected customers, unless already agreed.
