AI-powered automation solution for Liebherr sets new benchmarks in material handling
Hamburg – 17 companies. One trophy. Jungheinrich takes it home. At this year's IFOY Award — the most prestigious prize in the material handling industry — Jungheinrich has won in the "Integrated Customer Solution" category. The award recognises the fully automated end-to-end solution that Jungheinrich developed in collaboration with the Liebherr Group for their spare parts logistics. An independent jury of international trade journalists was convinced — awarding the highest possible score for both functionality and market relevance.
The IFOY Award — the benchmark for excellence in material handling
The International Forklift of the Year Award is the most renowned seal of quality in the material handling industry. This year, 17 finalists competed for the title. All submitted solutions underwent a comprehensive audit process: leading trade journalists from around the world evaluated them against the criteria of functionality, degree of innovation, customer benefit and market relevance — complemented by hands-on product testing at the IFOY Test Camp Intralogistics. Subjectivity has no place in this process. The verdict carries weight precisely because it is independent.

For the Liebherr Group's spare parts logistics, Jungheinrich faced a demanding brief: high order volumes, tight delivery windows, zero margin for error. The answer was a fully automated end-to-end solution built around an AI-enabled warehouse management system.
The system continuously analyses operational and process data, deriving real-time, data-driven control decisions. Orders are dynamically prioritised — not according to rigid rules, but based on live warehouse intelligence. The result: measurably higher efficiency, improved delivery reliability and reduced process costs. And the solution is scalable — ready for tomorrow's growth.

For Jungheinrich, the IFOY Award 2026 is a validation.
