Jungheinrich expands its spare-parts logistics operations in Central and Eastern Europe
Capacities at the Jungheinrich warehouse in Bratislava more than doubled
Best-in-class availability of spare parts
Shorter delivery times and increased availability of spare parts – these are the benefits resulting from the move and expansion of the Jungheinrich regional warehouse not far from the Slovakian capital Bratislava. Jungheinrich has been operating a spare parts warehouse in the region for over a decade now. As of April, the new site will supply spare parts to Jungheinrich customers in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the new subsidiary in Romania. Spare parts required for fork lift trucks and for warehouse systems and racks are delivered across Europe overnight. The reason behind the move was the rapid growth at Jungheinrich and the aim of constantly offering Jungheinrich customers the best availability of spare parts in the sector. Jungheinrich has therefore more than doubled its warehouse capacities at long-term partner CEVA Logistics to 3200 m².
Oliver Grotkaß, Director Corporate Parts Logistics, explains: "The new warehouse allows us to build on our benchmark position for availability of spare parts for our customers in Central and Eastern Europe. Order acceptance times have also been improved. Ordered today – delivered next morning in the customer service vehicle before work begins; this is standard procedure for the entire region. This is how we ensure that our customers avoid fork lift truck and system downtime."
