Jungheinrich PROFISHOP wins Swiss E-Commerce Award 2017 in category of “B2B Online Shop”
Jury praises intuitive navigation and user-friendly filters / Online shop receives highest usability marks / Jungheinrich PROFISHOP offerings available in 11 countries
Zurich/Hamburg, 7 June 2017. Jungheinrich PROFISHOP has received the 2017 Swiss E-Commerce Award in the category of “Best Online Shop”. Designed and operated by the intralogistics specialists at Jungheinrich, the online shop was able to win over the 16-person jury based on its user friendliness and the enjoyable buyer experience. The Swiss E-Commerce Award was presented on 31 May at the E-Commerce Connect Conference in Zurich, Switzerland. A total of 150 mobile and online shops competed for the coveted industry honour. Jungheinrich's PROFISHOP has only been on the Swiss market since March 2016, but was quickly able to establish itself as a popular online shop for factory equipment.
Stefan Wissler, Head of Online Retailing at the Jungheinrich Group, expressed his delight at winning the award: “Jungheinrich PROFISHOP has been active in Switzerland for a little over a year. Winning the Swiss E-Commerce Award after such a short period of time proves our market launch was a success. For us, the award is above all confirmation of the fact that investing in user-friendly, top-of-the-line web shopping technology does indeed pay off.”
The jury explained its decision in favour of Jungheinrich PROFISHOP as follows: “This seller of factory equipment scored big points with its intuitive navigation, including visual elements and user-friendly filters, receiving highest marks for usability. Product images and videos moreover contributed to the buyer experience. The website of Jungheinrich PROFISHOP website approaches its business customers as if they were normal end consumers – which is the way it should be for B2B sales; that made a big impression on us in the jury.”
Jungheinrich PROFISHOP was established in 2006 as an independent, online retailing subsidiary within the Jungheinrich Group. Currently the online shop offers over 36,000 items from the areas of stacking and lifting, transport, warehousing, factory, work safety and environment. The offerings at the Jungheinrich PROFISHOP are available in 11 European countries, with the service having been extended to Great Britain just this week. The online shop is based on the “iShop” multichannel e-commerce software sold by the Hamburg-based NOVOMIND company, which continues to refine and develop the tool.
