Supervisory Board of Jungheinrich AG to propose Andreas Umbach as new Chairman

Hamburg – The Supervisory Board of Jungheinrich AG has decided to propose to the Annual General Meeting on 19 May 2026 that Andreas Umbach be elected as a new Supervisory Board member. In the Supervisory Board’s constitutive meeting following the Annual General Meeting, Mr Umbach is to be elected as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The proposal occurs as part of the planned succession for the current Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, Kathrin Dahnke, whose term of office as Chairwoman finishes at the end of the Annual General Meeting.

Kathrin Dahnke took up the role as Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board on an interim basis following the early departure of her predecessor on 31 December 2025. The Supervisory Board wishes to thank her expressly for taking up the role as Chairwoman and for her committed and reliable leadership of the body during this transition phase.

Andreas Umbach has many years of international management and supervisory board experience in industrial and technology companies. From 2002 to 2017, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Landis+Gyr Group AG and guided the company through several changes in ownership as well as its initial public offering. From 2017 to 2025, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Landis+Gyr Group AG and, from 2018 to 2025, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIG Group AG. 

Prior to that, the 62-year-old spent more than a decade in various leadership positions at Siemens, including as regional manager in the area of energy transfer and distribution as well as in management positions in Germany and Switzerland.

In addition to his operational management experience, Andreas Umbach brings extensive expertise from his work on supervisory boards. He is currently Chairman of the Advisory Board of Wittur Group GmbH (Germany) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Schurter Group AG (Switzerland).

Andreas Umbach studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technische Universität Berlin and obtained an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin (USA). He holds German and Swiss citizenship.
