A new segment, a new brand, a clear claim: with “AntOn by Jungheinrich”, we are implementing a central component of our Strategy 2030+. A look at the production facility in Anji, China, shows how our new entry-level vehicles are manufactured.
It immediately catches the eye: an industrial truck in bright purple. With “AntOn by Jungheinrich”, we are deliberately sending a signal – for change, for new target groups and for a growing entry-level segment in material handling. At the same time, AntOn is a central component of our Strategy 2030+, with which we are specifically expanding our portfolio and offering customers a tailor-made range of products for different market requirements. Since its market launch, AntOn by Jungheinrich has become available internationally.
Where AntOn by Jungheinrich is made
Our current AntOn portfolio is manufactured by our strategic partner EP Equipment in Anji, China. The state-of-the-art factory is only a few years old, spacious and designed for efficiency. Around 1,500 employees work here every day to prepare our purple electric forklifts and pallet trucks for worldwide use.
The material flow is highly automated: around 180 mobile robots transport individual parts precisely through the factory. Thanks to modern laser navigation, they move independently between floors and lines – a perfect interplay of automation, technology and process stability.
Frames, masts, axles and hydraulic cylinders are either manufactured directly at the plant in Anji or by selected suppliers. Once all components are on site, a particularly visible step in AntOn production begins: painting. After cleaning and priming, the steel parts are given their characteristic purple colour – deliberately chosen as a symbol of innovation, differentiation and independence within the Jungheinrich brand world.
In the subsequent assembly stage, the vehicles are put together step by step. Unlike the material flow, this process is mainly carried out manually. Experience, precision and teamwork are required here – key factors for the quality of our AntOn industrial trucks.
Quality down to the last detail
Before an AntOn leaves the factory, each vehicle undergoes a comprehensive final inspection. Among other things, functions, safety, handling and electrical and hydraulic systems are checked. In addition, tightness and performance are tested. Only after passing the test does each vehicle receive its final branding in the form of foil wrapping: clearly recognisable as “AntOn by Jungheinrich” and at the same time visibly part of the Jungheinrich family. The industrial trucks are carefully secured for transport. Finally, they stand in rows: purple industrial trucks, ready for global use. Sales in Europe began in autumn 2025, with South America following shortly thereafter. AntOn has also been officially on the market in the APAC region since the beginning of 2026. The currently available portfolio includes the CBH and CBM electric forklifts and the PTL 1.5 pallet truck – in different versions depending on the region.
