Twenty years of Jungheinrich Ukraine – and more than four years of war. As the company marks its anniversary, Managing Director Alexey Roslyakov shares how his team continues to navigate uncertainty, support customers and stay focused on the future.
For 20 years, Jungheinrich Ukraine has been supporting customers across the country with material handling solutions, service expertise and strong local partnerships. This year’s anniversary comes at an extraordinary time. Despite more than four years of war, the team continues to serve customers, support one another and look ahead with determination.
On the occasion of the company’s 20th anniversary on 26 June, Managing Director Alexey Roslyakov shares his thoughts on resilience, teamwork, humanitarian support and what gives him confidence for the future.
“Our anniversary carries an even deeper meaning.”
Alexey Roslyakov: Our anniversary is a very special milestone for us. It is not only about marking two decades of business. In the current circumstances, it carries an even deeper meaning. It reminds us of everything we have built and preserved over the years, as well as of the resilience and dedication of our team.
To mark the occasion, we will come together as a team, reflect on the past 20 years and celebrate in a quiet setting. For me, it is especially important to thank our colleagues, recognise what we have achieved together and look to the future with confidence.
I am proud that we continue to support our customers, grow our business and remain a reliable partner even in the most difficult times. None of this would have been possible without the commitment and hard work of the many people who have contributed to our company’s success over the past two decades.
“The people make us strong.”
The people. Throughout the years of war, we have learned to rely on one another, adapt quickly to changing circumstances and stay focused on our goals. We have continued to work through air raid alerts, power outages and constant uncertainty.
These challenges have brought us closer together and strengthened our resilience, sense of responsibility and commitment to our work. Our strength comes from our people and from the trust we have built within the team.
I would like to say that the situation has become easier, but unfortunately that is not the case. Our headquarters is located in Kyiv, and the city continues to face regular air attacks. There are periods of relative calm, but they are usually short-lived.
Last year, one strike affected our district, and the blast wave damaged windows in our workshop. This is our reality. We also feel that the attacks have become more intensive and destructive, despite the fact that Kyiv is one of the best-protected cities in the country.
It is difficult to explain in just a few words. The war has become part of our reality, but that does not mean we have become used to it.
From the outside, our lives may seem quite normal. We work, raise our children, meet friends and make plans for the future. Yet beneath the surface, there is always a sense of uncertainty and anxiety. It is a constant background to everyday life.
At the same time, this experience has taught us to appreciate things we once took for granted: a quiet morning, time spent with loved ones, the opportunity to work, learn and build a future.
As a team, we remain resilient. We continue to work, support one another and do everything we can to ensure business continuity and provide reliable support to our customers.
Over the years, we have learned to adapt, but we have never accepted this situation as normal. What keeps us going is our shared sense of responsibility – towards our customers, our colleagues and our families.
A new AntOn CBH 2.5 will be used in warehouse operations to handle and unload humanitarian aid shipments. In this way, it supports the fast and efficient transport of essential supplies for people affected by the war, including injured individuals, displaced families and those in urgent need of assistance.
For me, this donation goes far beyond a formal decision.
It is a clear expression of solidarity and genuine care for Ukraine in an extremely challenging and unpredictable reality. Under the current conditions, it can have a real and tangible impact by supporting humanitarian logistics and helping assistance reach those who need it most.
The strength of our team, the trust of our customers, the support of our partners and the solidarity of our colleagues around the world.
Over the past few years, we have faced many challenges and proved to ourselves that we are capable of adapting and moving forward, even in the most difficult circumstances. We are proud that our team remains motivated, professional and focused on its mission.
Every successfully completed project, every satisfied customer and every act of support reminds us that our work matters and that, together, we are stronger than the challenges we face.
“Thank you for standing with us.”
First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported us throughout the past years – our customers, partners, colleagues and all those who have stood by Ukraine during this difficult time.
Support, attention and solidarity truly make a difference. They remind us that even in challenging circumstances, we are not alone. Every gesture of support, every successful collaboration and every expression of trust gives us additional strength and confidence to move forward.
Looking ahead, my wish is simple: peace, stability and opportunities for people to build a better future. I firmly believe that resilience grows through cooperation, mutual respect and a willingness to support one another.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. Your trust and support mean more than you may realise.
